SONOMA COMMUNITY CENTER
For decades, the Sonoma Community Center has hosted upwards of 350 diners for Thanksgiving, who enjoy a gourmet feast prepared by a crew of talented chefs – all for free. Gary Edwards led a crew of all-volunteer chefs, to prepare a largely organic and locally sourced meal utilizing area producers such as Paul’s Produce, Green Strings Farm, Whole Foods and Basque Boulangerie. The Rotary Club of Sonoma Valley, contributed nearly 100 organic Willie Bird turkeys.
The Center also provides space and support for organizations that provide valuable programs. Since its inception, Sonoma Community Center has incubated many of the Valley’s non-profit organizations, providing them with the support they needed to become self-sustaining.
